On October 23, 2014, we were able to view another partial solar eclipse from California.  I made arrangements with the principal of the local elementary-middle school, Lagunitas School, to set up my telescopes on the playground there. The teachers brought their students out in groups, and I had assistance from Alan Charne, a neighbor and astronomy enthusiast.  Besides the telescope views, we provided safe, solar-viewing glasses for the students. Due to clouds in the late afternoon we were not able to view the entire process, but the students enjoyed the views they got.  In the photos below you'll also see some significant sunspots that were present that day.
