Just 2 weeks after the partial solar eclipse, on June 5, 2012, came the Transit of Venus across the Sun.  I set the same equipment up, but this time it was just outside the local polling booth where people were voting in our California primary election.  I had lots of people stop and watch the tiny black dot slowly move across the face of the Sun.
